Default Hello! im new here :D

Hello everyone,
I'm new to club lexus and I'm basically here to get information on Lexus GS300's. I do not own one right now but I am really interested in getting one to VIP.

I did consider the GS400 but it would be a gas killer for me so a GS300 is sufficient.

My question is, how reliable are GS300s? I am from southern Cali and most of the ones around here have some very high mileage (around 120k and over). There are some that have good mileage but kind of out of my price range. I'd like to ask for some of your mileages and what kinda problems have you had with the car thus far.

Thank you!

I'd still get the GS400.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the GS300 and 400 have the same city gas mileage, and the 300 only has 1 more mile over the 400.

if you're looking for power right out of the box then go for a GS400/430. if you're planning on a 2JZ-GTE swap then by all means, GS300.

i like having my GS300 since it's heavy and "slow" to me. keeps me from speeding...unlike my previous car.

I've gotten better gas mileage in a 400 than a 300... Just thought I'd let you know.

Get the GS4.

i was in the same position, and i actually kind of am, you can see some of my threads, but i have decided to go with the gs400 simply cause youu get more power and im losing 1 mile a gallon, sounds like a fair enough trade off to me.

On one hand, the 400/430 gets within 1 MPG of the 300. On the other hand, the 400/430 does have a ton of power.

Take it from the experts on here. Go with the GS400 or you'll be kicking yourself later down the road. Virtually the same MPG but 2x the power. Anyways welcome to the club!!

Welcome to CL! Def. get the 400 without any worries. As far as mileage goes, 120k is nothing for these cars with the right maintenance. There are members on here with 300k. GL on your search.
