Dealer, the map and dome light bulbs are just under a plastic piece. Wrap a flathead screw driver in a cloth so you don't scratch anything and just wedge it near the corners of the opaque plastic piece and pry it out. It's fairly simple. You don't have to take the entire assembly out.
and Parker, no... Lol. Nothing like that. It was intended as a joke.

On just the clear lens part of that assembly it looked like ther was a spot in the top right corner. But in supposed to take the whole thing out? i.e. the entire assembly the sun roof controls, map light buttons, garage door part etc? just pry of the headliner?

Mechanic? Nope. Just a 18 year old kid with too much time on his hands? Yeah, that's it.
Haha. When I get bored, I just go out into my car and start tearing things apart. You live and you learn, but you'll never learn unless you go out there and do it yourself, right? That's my perspective on life. I haven't gone about messing with the actual engine yet as I don't have the money to fix it if something goes wrong so I just start with the small stuff. I put in my own sound system and it was the first time I ever worked with a radio.
I've also learned a great deal of stuff on Club Lexus. It's an excellent resource if you have the patience to read and search through plenty of topics. If I need to fix something, I come on here and search until I find what I need, read and continue my research on the subject until I'm confident that I can do it, and then I go do it and then help the next person if they need it. I figured out how to pretty much take the interior apart by just experimenting and such. I also learned how to fix and replace brake/suspension parts by reading the forums.
and thanks for the compliment, but I'm far from what anybody would call a mechanic.... If you want a real mechanic to talk to, go find Jeff. That guy is a GS encyclopedia.
