The K&N Intake GOOD-BAD?
hello guys i think i got some problems with K&N, ok, i bought the K%N intake 2months ago, and after installation i could feel the more torch kiking in,and the car felt better response on the paddel, but now i felt the car is loosing power and speed idk may be the oily K&N messeup the MAF sensor or???did u guys notice anything after a couple of months using the K&N intake?? THANKS

I only run dry filters I.E. AEM or equivalent

^ Very true. You probably over-oiled the filter. If you haven't thrown a CEL or anything of the sort yet, take the MAF out and gently wipe it down, GENTLY. Then clean it with CRC MAF cleaner.

oh man but i like how K&N sounds its nice but ,,, what if i clean the cone filter with brake cleaner and dry it up???when i installed it it was oiled from factory!!oh man idk what to do, i will go buy the MAf cleaner this week and try to clean it! thanks for advices!

There's no need to clean the cone filter with brake fluid IMO. If it's been two months since you've bought it then there is probably hardly any oil left on the filter. Just oil it up again, but don't over do it.
I still think you should have went with SRT or the Weapon R intake.

its still from factory oiled!!! haha u still remember when i need it advice on thoes two!! STR is $$$$with ECU
maybe who knows but i have to clean the MAF 1st and see!!
