Your friends car is gonna sound great... I have the Energy line which is more entry level stuff and the sound is amazing.... At the time I wasn't too familiar with Hertz so just tried out their entry level stuff since my shop sightwaves was giving them such rave reviews... now that I know whats up.... I'm definitely going to upgrade to the Mille on Audison.
PS I previously ran IDMAX in the trunk and its a great amp.... my Hertz subs aren't powered as much as my IDMAX were but still give me more than enough bass.... I'm only powering the Hertz subs w/ about 300wrms each compared to the 600 I was juicing the IDMAX before.

really...i was thinking of using a sealed setup in the stock location. is yours ported or sealed? what about a ported box with a (precision)port leading to stock location. i really want to take advantage of that factory sub location, since it seems a good way to get bass inside the car(not just the trunk)

BOX in oem location is pretty solid. Mine is sealed but the sub extends and hits the sub cover. I'm going to cut some plastic out so it doesn't hit it. Also, your third brake light may hit the rear window when it starts thumpn.
Dynamat or put something to dampen the roof directly above the back seats..that'll rattle too. If you look, from the trunk, next to oem sub...there is a plastic box, that'll rattle.
I may put some 12 in oem location too so I'll be cutting some metal or make room for the excursion. The 10" is doing it's job so I'm not in a hurry..I may even get rid of the 12" if I decide to stay with the 10".
The box I have is just for practice...but it's small and you can't see it unless you look in.
