To me, the more items you mess with, the higher the risk of messing something up - stripping a thread, losing/breaking a part, etc. Using the adjustable wrench, like I did, was quite easy, and didn't take more than 5 minutes. I still think this is the easier approach.

OP, did you get a chance to do the other bushings or u only did that big one?

Just the big one (caster arm). I don't plan to do the others at this point.

nice write up. this will come in handy. i've had my set for bout a month now but been b-essin on the install. but ur thread just motivated me so i'll be installing mine one of these upcoming weekends.

How's the ride with just changing the caster arm bushings. Do you feel any harshness coming through the car? Is it smooth and quiet? Any rattles, vibrations etc?

No harshness at all; the caster arm bushing doesn't really come into play when going over bumps, as the caster arm is mostly a front/back link rather than an up/down one.

I think that the clunk I've been having has now disappeared, but I need some more driving time to confirm.

But definitely no negative effects.

Yup, happy as a clam. The clunking turned out to be the brake pads rather than the bushings, but it's nice to have the new bushings in place anyway - just seeing how bad the old ones were, they weren't going to last much longer!

i ordered what they had on the tm/ti site will the caster bushing be in the set??
