Default Paiting the Center Peice ?

Hey whats going on guys i just got some 19's from my 99gs300, and they look great, it's all blacked out. The center peice is silver, and it doesn't look good with rim. So how do i paint the rim caps black...?
The rims are from an Infiniti G35x, so thats another reason i wanna paint the rim caps black.

you can find a powder coat company. there's a thread somewhere on here where someone got some custom center caps for their g35 wheels.

let me get this right, you got the 19" Rays from the G35 and someone already painted them black but left the center cap silver?
If i got that right why dont you just take the wheel off, pop off the center cap and rattle can it. I paint rims myself and i use spray paint. with a good thick clear coat and the right painting techniques it comes out nice. u could send em to me and i'll paint em for you. doesnt take that long. Powdercoating is OD if ur jus doing the center cap

well, it came from the dealer black..my uncle had ordered the rims for his g35, but didn't want them. And for some strange reason the center caps are still silver..so i just wanted to paint the centercaps..atleast a black to make it blend together. it's just basic paint and clear coat ?

thats cause it DIDN'T come from the factory black....if it came from the dealer they had a outside source paint it. i have NEVER seen OEM g35 wheels in any color but the one they come in and chrome. thats it

u got a awesome uncle OP buying some nice rims then not wanting them....does he have a 4 door as these were standard (i thought) on all 2 doors)

oh remember this simple rule OP (which almost always works)...I before E except after c... (your title should read PAINTING the center PIECE)

hehe just teasing sir WELCOME to the boards sir

^^^^^ BRIAN!!! LOL. u guys and your spell checks. BTW the 19's arent standard. most g35 coupes i see round here have the 18's. But to the OP they def dont come black. so they had them painted and if the dealer got them dipped for your uncle then they weren't cheap. and yes all you gotta do is spray them with black then clear. i recommend getting the engine enamel glossy black and then some rim clear coat or better yet what i found recently was the Minwax wood and metal lacquer spray paint. use light thin coats in layers and a heat gun or blow dryer between layers to get a good finish

I'm always good for a chuckle with the spell check....actually Mozilla does it for you as you type just another reason Firefox is awesome and internet explorer sucks

yea they def don't come in black. only silver. Oh yeah I use Safari so I get the whole spell check as you go thing to. It's gets a little annoying with all the red lines when your typing fast. But back on topic spraying center caps is super easy unless you trynna get rid of the Infiniti symbol

im looking for that post where the guy found a company that made them....it would be more expensive than painting it yourself but it is another option.

update if/when i find it

EDIT:well that didnt take long

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...35-wheels.html

can ask them if they will make a black center cap
