DDM makes good HID's? I've never heard of them.

Yeah. Since you are getting the HID conversion kit, as you do not have factory HIDs, your reflector bowls will introduce a whole new level of glare once you install the HIDs. The factory HID headlights also have the "cup" that goes over the bulb, but the reflector bowl is designed to provide a decent cutoff so there is not too much glare.

I suppose so. The OP used them in his fogs and I have never seen any set of fogs with such nice light output/cutoff without projectors.
