its pretty rare...but I found that particular gas station in Bethpage Long Island. I used it once on my old Maxima and it transformed my car into a beast on the road. I only put a quarter tank of it.

My 98 GS400 runs fine on regular, I can tell it has less power when I get on it...milage around town seems to be less though, highway milage, not much difference.
Your car will not blow up, and you won't hurt anything. Just try it and see how it feels. That said, mine is very well maintained, with fairly new plugs, etc...
I'll end with I prefer the way the car feels on premium, it feels like a different engine, especially above 4K RPM's or so.

i personally run my car on 89. middle grade. people think that the higher the octane the better.....thats not true. you want the LOWEST octane you can run, WITHOUT detonation. the lower the octane the faster the burn and the more efficient the engine is. all of this to a point. too low of octane and you will get pre-ignition detonation. too high of octane and the gas cannot be fully ignited during the combustion process and your losing HP/TQ. at my altitude, my car runs best (plugs look the best) on 89.

I DONT use Regular, just like I dont use Aviation Fuel to make it go faster. Why not Kerosene? Water would be cheaper. And not that expensive bottled water but the free stuff out of your tap. Get my point? USE WHAT YOUR OWNERS MANUAL SAYS. If you a burning a hole in your pocket, better to siphon gas out of your neighbors car to help your pocket book, but be careful. Someone was siphoning gas around here, so I decided to booby trap my car...poured a bag of sugar into my gas tank...decided to do my neighbors a favor and poured a bag of sugar into their cars too. Guy who siphons our gas is gonna get a BIG Surprise now. Hahaha.

After many many miles I found I get the best mpg on 89 octane.... so that's what I run.
Oh, and to this guys:
Running 87 didn't kill a damn o2 sensor
Oh, and to this guys:
I rolled thru Brooklyn NY last month on my way to a wake and filled up with 87 octane because the premium was like $4.25 a gallon. About a hundred miles later my Check Engine light came on. I puked an upstream O2 sensor, and I really think the 87 octane was to blame. Use the good stuff.

Everyone says they get more/less mpg, but no one says what it is that they are getting...
I've been running 87 for the last 6+yrs / 110k miles in my GS3. No problems except for one O2 sensor going bad 2 yrs ago. I suspect that was just normal wear/tear and nothing to do with gas. I consistently get 21/gal mixed and ~24 highway (more if I can keep it below 80) and no it's not granny driving. I'm shooting for 300k and already half way there.
