Default How do I know if my headlights have auto-levelers?

I got into a little bumper accident awhile ago and changed my headlights. I changed them to oem hids. I'm sure 98' gs3's don't have levelers, but i want to know if my headlights have them, and are the housings identical or is there something different(visually). Also, will I be able to use levelers if i never had them? thanx

The driverside has a ballast and a computer for the leveling system attached to it. Additionally both lamps will have the motors for leveling attached to the very back of the light. The easiest indicator will be the clear oval shaped window viewable on the lamp when you pop the hood. It contains a level inside of it.

My 98 gs4 has auto level.. I think if its oem hid it should have it. Also if the screw is turned all the way to left or right the hid leveling system stops working..keep it the middle(meaning the screw that adjusts the headlamps)..I maybe wrong but thats how it works on my gs4.

Probably not. Cars with factory installed HID headlights have level sensors on the front and rear suspension -- see the attached diagram. Plus, the wiring for the level sensors is not separate and is integrated into the car's wiring loom. To make it even more difficult, the wiring for the rear suspension sensor is probably routed through the car's interior like it is in my LS.
