whats good, trying to get a new fog as my lens is cracked. it works and everything so i'm wondering which part do i need to get?? here is a link to sewell and they have a diagram

... but not sure what part i need. also whats the difference between w/ discharge headlamp and without? any help would be much appreciated CL. thanks

i think it's asking if you have OEM HID or standard 9006 for headlamps. High Intensity Discharge?

true but even with HID the fogs are just normal arent they? but i do have non HID headlights. any clue on which one it would be? didn't think it would be this hard lol. thanks for ur input

the only difference between the one with hid or non hid is the color of the output. If your car was equipped with HIDs then your foglights were yellow, if they were halogen then the fogs were white. I believe that this is the reason for the question. Now if you have white fogs then u order the non hid if they are yellow then U order the hid ones.

thank you spyder, there are two different things to order tho... Lexus OEM Fog Lamp Assy or Lexus OEM Fog Lamp Lamp Unit ?

The other ones are the what they basically sell as fully packed, meaning it comes with the bulb and screws from my understanding.

vlad, i thought ALL 2001+ gs300/gs430's are FACTORY equipped HID'S and yellow fogs.
havent seen a 2001+ without a setup like that (im saying this as the link the op used from sewell is saying its from a 2004 gs300)

Brian, from my understanding on option structure for the 2nd gen GS only the 430s came standard with HIDs, on the 300s it was an option. My friend has a 2003 GS3 with no HIDs and white fogs.

cool vlad, didnt know that. i havent ever seen a 2001+ come with out them. now that i think bout it, maybe it was just the gs430 standard HID and options on the rest....i re-tract my thoughts. lol

Spyder, good lookin out thats exactly what I thought the difference was too. Before I buy ill make sure to call just to confirm thats what the difference is. have a good day yall
