the output of FAKE infiniti Q45's is terrible....although the cutoff on the real Q45's is good it isnt up to par with the ls430's

i even contemplated getting the mini ones to use in my inners when i was gonna do my q45 retro.

if u want q45's get the real ones IMHO

dunno if anyone has actually used them they pop up from time to time and we talk bout them, then they go away.

i dont think u can do a HID kit to the P7 bulb BTW

A friend of mine with a Highlander tried those some time ago... Cutoff was **** and it just didn't look right. I don't think we have any pictures, but the cutoff was all over the place and blurry. Stay away from them. He went with RX330 projectors and they're a million times better.

If you want the best of the best, although I assume you don't considering you want Q45s, go with the LS430 projectors. Hands down the best projectors ever.

LS460's are just as nice...the larger 3" lens on it looks mean from far!

i think those are VERY similar to the ebay ones just badged with their name, not very good either PLUS for that price u can buy almost REAL q45's, just save the $ and buy the real ones

PS. there is the mini ones i was talking bout, although they were cheaper on ebay

That's the problem with assuming now isn't it.

The only threads I've seen come up are for Q45 projectors. I'm open to whatever works the best. I'm not sure there is ever a good reason to half *** something so if LS460 ones are better I'll use those.

EDIT: The reason I asked is because I like the way Q45 projectors look compared to normal projectors. It's something unique .

theretrofitsource.com is where im getting my projectors from, they offer good package prices,

im going with
RX-AFS/TSX-R Projector (TSX-R is a clear lens they use instead of the foggy looking one)
E55-R shroud
Morimoto Bulbs
very good deals there

*R stands for the retrofit brand.

then im sending them off to luxurymods to get it all done and get this retro done.

i love the LOOKS of the q45 but they more for just that, looks. if u want light output its ls430/ls460 or from what im hearing now the rx330 (as i guess a cheaper substitute)

here talk to tony bout some including pricing, this man is amazing at retro's

Aww, bummer. They are definitely not something you see everyday. I'll check out luxury mods, thanks!

I tried to find a picture of RX and LS projectors together, but to no avail.

Here are separate shots. You can tell which one reigns supreme, although the RX projectors do nothing short of an excellent job in brightening your night.

RX

LS

I've got the Q45's, the output is better than the stock GS HID reflectors but not up to par with the LS430's for sure.

I like the looks of the LS460's better than LS430's, although the reflectors don't spread the light out to the sides like the LS430's, the output is still respectable from what I've heard. I probably would've gone LS460's if I didn't already have Q45's; I'm happy with the Q45's though, the unique look definitely gets some attention and the output is enough for me. All depends on your priorities I guess.
