That's because they've been told something that's 4" and 1" around is really 12" and 4" around for thousands of years!

So true!!!! My friend's sister just backed into a parked car in a lot today, which cut short our pool party. How coincidental that I come back to read this thread... Anyway, that really does suck Iceman, more so even since it is a brand spanking new 6-day-old GS430. I couldn't begin to imagine the kind of frustration I'd be having with her. Iceman, there is such thing as better-than-factory paint these days. It'll cost you an obscene amount for the quality shop and quality paint, but it's out there. Good luck.

Ice- I think most of us have been there. It's not if it's going to happen but when. My wife put a long scratch along the side panel of our (then) new 2000 maxima...she was negotiating around a metal trash can and cut it to close. Son of a #$%#! Now that we've upgraded to the Lex I'm on pins and needles! I do carry $100 deduc. comp insurance just for that reason tho.

Peace

ICEMAN, do you live somewhere around so. cal? if you do, you might want to bring ur car into Fountain Valley Body Works. They're the #1 rated collision body center in southern california man. they rock! i've seen them do miracles on cars that you would quit on, and the best thing, you can't tell the car was ever worked on! but they cost $$$

Dude I feel your pain! I learn my lesson with my Acura and wife. She won't even ask to drive the GS because she knows if she damages it , its getting fixed before anything else!

AS for women drivers, I drive my mans car every day, NEVER not once have i curbed the rims, scratched the car no dings or dents. He however has curbed the rims a few times, got hit by an old lady, etc. So lets not diss on female drivers anymore, okay

Iceman - Bro, that SUCKS! Sorry to hear that! Man, I would be PISSED! If I had a wife, would rather buy her another car to mess up rather than let her drive the GS...

Holy CRAP, hombre. I think I might have thrown up if this happened to me. Since I'm a single guy, I know all of the screw ups will be my own (unless some fool wrecks into me).

When I lived in New Orleans, I screwed up huge. There was a pothole that was the size of a small trench. It had a jagged point of concrete on the opposite side, just perfect to destroy rims and tires. I couldn't see it, as it was a) unmarked and b) hidden under the shadows of oak trees uptown. I slammed the pothole and destroyed 2 rims and 2 tires!!!!!!! I doubt that helps, but I have had the same sick feeling that you probably have.

sorry man,
Zach

Just modify the car to the point where she won't WANT to drive it.
