Well my steering column and seat do not move up/down or forward/backward when I open/close the door. I'm not a big guy (5'5" 160lbs.) so I don't need it to do that to help me manuever in and out of the car. The previous owner (a shorter guy himself) actually had this CBEST setting changed. I thought about having it turned back on, but I figure with this setting off, it would result in less wear and tear on the mechanisms/motors and it won't break on me prematurely.
