EVERYONE I know out here with a GS400/430 or LS400/430 gets the SAME sucky gas mileage. Matter fact I know GS300's get just about the same also.

What city do you live or drive in?
But seriously, 15 MPG aint that far off from the EPA estimate 17-18 MPG if you consider the fact that MOST cars don't get the estimated MPG.

If you feel that it's misfiring, check it out, though

Im glad its not just me... at one point i was throwing $ around trying to fix this and fix that thinking it was my car! i drive 90% on atlantic ave brooklyn -> queens also.

My numbers are pretty low, too. I get about 240 in the city. Definitely going to do the run of the mill tune up to try and raise that. I would like to get 300 city. I have a 430.

It sure is low, but in NYC, we gotta factor in a stop light every 200 feet or so...

when I go outta town there is a stop light every 1/4 mile or even half mile.

Sorry to dig up this old thread but better than making a new one i suppose. I've been getting 160-180 mi at 1/4 tank!! I'd never paid attention to it before but now that i did i was like, wtf man! I'm about to change the spark plug but at least now i know i'm not the only one.

I drive every single day on queens blvd and in NYC. Probably 80/city 20/highway, percent wise. At around 60+ dollars a tank/week i might have to look into a diesel...

Well do keep in mind our cars sucks at city, it gets around 16-18 mpg around the city. Stop and go is the car's worse nightmare.

you try getting 4000lbs up to 35mph and then stopping in a half mile (repeat 30 times a day) then we can understand why it get this mileage... I get 340mi to the tank (till the light comes on) and i do 65 mi a day 50% city. I have a K&N and Dynomax super turbo mufflers. I've gotten 400mi on the highway with the entire family in the car and luggage.

Calculating miles per gallon is a much efficient way. OP, take the total miles you driven and divided by the gallonsnof gas you put in. See whats ur mpg, should br around 16-18mpg for city

I have a 2000 GS3 that has a k&n filter and I bought a ebay intake and cut it to fit after the MAS sensor to TB.

I get 360 mile to a tank in the city(19 MPG average) and I get 400-430(22-23 MPG average) to a tank all hwy.

My spark plugs need replacing so I am hoping I will do even better. I also have not checked since replacing my castor bushing but I have a feeling with how my tires were toed out it was affecting my fuel economy to some degree.

This is all HWY. I can usually go another 50 miles before having to worry about running out of gas when the light comes on.
The light came on 2 miles prior. I cleaned my filthy K&N filter before I left. My average increased 0.74 mpg
