I get 20 mpg on my GS400 70% city 30% hwy. It depends a lot on how you drive it, how long between start ups, ect..

If you live in a congested city with tons of stops and slow speeds then you may get 14 or 15

I cleaned my MAF and TB before a fillup, hopefully, even with semi frequent (start stop), I net a few mpg's. Last measurement was a horrible 18.5mpg...... 95% city.

18.5 seems good for 95% city

I agree. My GS4 gets that mileage with an 80% hwy tank.

Clean components and relaxed driving style as well, I don't understand why the low mileage I still get.

Everything has recently been replaced and cleaned the correct and OEM way, nothing aftermarket under the hood. Any other tips somebody could provide?

Are you guys sure your odometer is reading correctly? If that's off it will affect your gas mileage (measured will be different than actual)

All depends on how you drive. I think it takes the 300 alot more to get going from a take off than the 430, just my 0.02 cents. My speedometer is dead on to the trip on my Nav I always keep track of both and reset after refueling

Default Anyone wanna trade with my Inline 6 for His/Her V8?

I talked to three Lexus Mechanic/Technician, and they all confirmed that the V8 is a much better choice Anyway, since we are discussing about V8. Is it true, that V8 came with two difference version of timing belt/ or timing chain depend on the model year? GS400 and or GS430? I am in the market for a V8 here.

That's why I bought the GS430, instead of the GS300. GS300 only gets 2-3 mpg more than the GS430. I can sacrafice a few mpgs for 300 hp.

I am averaging around 300-310 with 16 gallons. It's improved a little bit after cleaning the throttle body and replaced the spark plugs. Before that, I barely got over 270 with 16 Gal. I haven't got the ***** to clean the MAF myself. Maybe by summer when the price Hit $6.00/Gal then I will definitely clean the MAF.

P.S Just like every other recession in History, Only the Petro Companies are making profit.
