High Mileage GS - Car Purchase Advice
Hello all,
I've been looking around at for a cheap 2nd gen GS lately to use as a nice comfy daily driver (that has 4 doors) for now that would possibly become a project later on down the road.
I came across one the other day, a '99 GS400 with 240,000 miles... VERY HIGH mileage, I know. Just wondering if it would be worth picking up a GS with this many miles. The car has maintenance records and looks to be in pretty decent condition, expected wear and tear for a car that has seen this much use but no glaring issues other than that.
Has anyone had any experience with cars this age/mileage? I have my SC400 as well in case this car had any down time in the short term but I would probably be looking to sell that after I purchase this to recoup some money. I want to move to a GS and it isn't necessary for me to have two cars (and the added cost of owning both).
Should I wait things out for a lower mileage example at a higher price or should I take a lower cost model with the high mileage as long as its been taken care of?
Thoughts?

really OP it depends on the price and actual condition of it. i know u said it looks to be in decent condition but i would def make sure it has service records. even if its up to date its gonna eventually have some issues with all the mileage but if u can get it for dirt cheap, sure....y not i guess.

Thanks for the advice guys, I agree... I should wait for a better example. That mileage is just ridiculous haha. What the heck was I thinking?
I'm still going to look at the car so I can get a feel of how the 2GS is... I've never driven one before. If he offers to sell it for the price of dirt I may consider it.
But in the likely event that doesn't happen...
I'll just wait. Maybe by the time I find the right one the SC will be paid off and I'll be able to keep both
