I took my 2k GS300 in to have the tranny & differential fluids changed. The dealer did a "courtesy" inspection and recogmended that I have the brake and power steering fluids change also. In my years of owning cars, I've never had the power steering fluid changed on any. Is this necessary on the GS?

you are kidding right?
every fluid on every car should be changed at certain intervals.
brake fluid and power steering fluids get contaminated over time, loose their viscosity and as such decrease the efficiency of the entire car.
They might be fluids that people get away with without changing but if you like your car, i suggest you change these fluids if they haven't been changed for a while.
do a quick search and you will find changing both is very easy. Bleeding of the brakes should take about 20-30mins and the power steering fluid should take 5mins. There is a tutorial on "sucking"and topping up systematically which eventually places the new fluid in the place of the old. From your username, I presume you are a lady but thats not an excuse...these are easy DIYs![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
