95 GS3 vs. 2001 GS4
I have a question:
The 95' GS is a bit sluggish. No offense to anyone here, i love how it looks, which is why i want to ask this question:
Could you swap out the engine from an SC400 (like a 98) with vvt-i and 300hp and all that stuff in to a 95 easier than putting in a newer gs engine in it???
Im not sure if the 95 weighs less than the 2001, but if it did, and everything worked, it would be a faster car than the gs430, right?
Im curious and thinking of doing this with the engine in my sc and then selling the GS or something like that.

Hmmm.....So you crashed your SC400 and you want to buy a first gen. gs and put your sc engine in it? Wont you be collecting on your insurance from the accident in the sc?Did you total it?
Also you mentioned you may do all this and sell your gs430

YES
Anything can be done for the persistent and dedicated. . A 1st gen with a V8 in it would be unique.
I would say that it would be difficuly to do at best. ECU,Relay boxes, wire harness,etc....
Not to mention things such as speed /rpm, shift point signals to the gauge cluster.
It would be much easier to just do the turbo swap. Much faster car to boot.
Maybe sell the V8 and get the turbo setup.
Best of luck either way you go.

THANKS!!!
For the people who dont understand-
my sc was smashed by a bear, and i cant find a mechanic to fix the entire roof.
I wouldnt sell my gs430, i would sell the gs300 w/ the engine in it hoping to get a lot more as it would be one unique gs300...
but i think i might sell the sc400 to the shop and buy an sc300 5-speed and turbo that sucker.
