If you were going to paint it white, I would do Starfire Pearl or something that you can't get from the factory.

Mine is white. I had a black one. I told myself if i ever got another 2gs again it would most defenitely be white so i picked up a 98 w/only 58k mi for $10.9k few months ago. I wanted white before the black actually but wasn't too sure about tan interior, but its actually not that bad...on white. I even thought about painting my black to white. Dont get me wrong black is tight but white is just clean and looks hot. I would consider ur mileage, mods, and condition etc before u decide to paint or sell and buy a white. Good luck!

How about Parchment Crystal Pearl? Its more of a peal white. I have that color and would have loved to have the black interior like my friend had long ago. That color combo was awesome.

The one thing about white cars though it is hides the swirl marks much easier. On black or dark color car any minor swirl mark shows up easily, but on white you can't tell unless you are real close looking for it.

this is a very good advice. Tom, you can buy white, then swap the interior and sell the black on tan.

if you must paint it white, please consider crystal white or starfire pearl as mentioned earlier. Or even glacier frost. these are all lexus whites, but none made it to 2GS.

good luck with your build.

I also wanted to add a viable question here. Since we're talking about painting the exterior, I want to know how hard would it be to swap the whole guts of a tan to a blk interior? I got a blk onyx with tan. Thinking of swapping to a blk but didnt know how hard or easy that would be.

Another option was also painting the exterior of the car from black to white.

I gotta 2000 2GS3 with 140k miles on it.

What would you guys suggest?

White is kinda hard to keep clean too Tom. Like maybe 2 or 3 days after you wash/detail your car you'll end up seeing dust chillin on the rear of the car and quarter panel area, it it is a nice color. Like one of those eye squintin color LOL.

You planning to do a whole color change inside out?

I would say nope stay with black lol but yea i do agree with the majority black/darker color cars do show swirls and imperfection alot more than white. but white on the other hand gets dirtier faster in my opinion. but its really up to you to decide. ether way you can't go wrong.

white is the ideal dd color. definitely go with starfire instead of dwp.

black cars are cool if they're garage queens. otherwise they're a ***** to deal with.

also if you're ever put aero on your car, certain colors will work out better than others.
