Default Anyone mold your roof spoiler or trunk wing to the car?

Thinking about molding my roof spoiler and JP wing to the car. Can the roof spoiler even be done? Planning on having the entire car repainted and I want to do it the right way. Anyone have pics??

yeah, negative on the roof spoiler unless it goes on the body. JP spoiler might be kind of nice, im sure someone has it done.

The most popular roof spoiler (UGO) here didn't go on the back glass at all...it was on the roof.

I wouldn't mold the roof spoiler. You can always buy a new trunk when you sell the car if you can't sell it as is. With the roof spoiler it would be much harder. I wouldn't buy a car that can't be returned to stock with minimal effort.

+ that.. a molded roof spoiler would just look kinda weird seeing as no manufacturer ever did that. but a molded trunk spoiler is really nice if done properly.

i think the JP 3pc wing would look interesting molded on the car but if you do it i would mold it so that you still see they definition of the wing separated from the trunk. i have the JP replica wing and i'm thinking bout molded mine jus so it will stay on better

You don't mold the 3 pieces together, mang, you mold them to the metal you are attaching each piece to. So you'd have a little flare on each quarter panel and the spoiler itself molded into the trunk. It can look very nice if done properly. Takes time and effort to do so.

I take the opposite stance on the roof spoiler, though. I think the UGO one would actually look cool if you did it right. You'd have to leave a small gap for a character line to be defined by the filler/paint, then paint it properly. If you take the time, I think a lot of this stuff can be done and look nice. It's the cheeseballs who do it wrong or the truly hideous kits that make everyone hate body kits/accessories.
