black wood trim

Blackwood trim!!
(Center console, shift ****, and Radio/climate conrol pieces)
(Steering wheel,gauge cluster,etc.)
(Pictured is a Black/Greyburlwood)!
Check out this company and give them a call for a quote? They performed the work on all my interior wood pieces and were very reasonable and quick. Ask for the owner (Frank) and let him know I sent you! They have a large variety of different patterns to choose from and can color match just about anything!

Love that interior more every time I see it. If you go wringo's route, you won't have to put up with the center console gap from the Aristo blackwood; would be a plus for having the OEM wood redone.

Wood trimming!
It is, what it is!
Thanks! I think you have more options going this route, rather than trying to match and find the blackwood pieces that wouldn't fit properly.
I had just about every wood trim piece in my car re-finished along with additional and added pieces (steering wheel, shift ****, headliner handle end caps, sun visor caps, etc.) and they turned out great! The prices depend on the size of each piece your sending in, so you would need measurements? Remember that each item sent in also must be free of anything you wouldn't put in water (electronic parts)! Good luck with your project and keep us posted. Trust me, you will be happy you did it after you recieve it back and have it installed. Keep in mind that these pieces are also clearcoated as well! Go for it!
Thank you!

Wood?
That is correct and neither is your existing pieces in your GS? They are all hard plastic with a wood look. This process is a water treatment process where your pieces would be dipped in water to acquire the look of your choice and then clearcoated.

OK,
I just spent 3 minutes sanding this piece of door trim with 100 grit sandpaper.
There was a nice thick layer of clear coat over the surface. Once I sanded therough the clear coat, Bingo ! , I hit raw wood.
I continued to sand the wood surfiace for a couple more minutes to verify that it would not wear off like a simulated pattern would. If I continued to sand, I'm sure I would go right through the veneer and hit the plastic backing.
There you have it folks !
