diamondgs4 - Years ago you could get bras in colors. We got a white one for my wife's Supra and not only did it work well but it really had a very good look. Virtually all the ones today are black. This might not sound right but I might try looking through the Whitney catalog, probably the kind of thing they might carry.
mooretorque - I suspect the only difference is that the Lexus bra doesn't have the stand up spoilers. It just has a stiff ridge maybe a half an inch tall but it works, no flapping. Thanks for the reinforcement. Some of these urban myths are hard to dispel but bras don't damage paint unless you put them on and never touch them again. My detailer friend said that far and away the worst that could happen is to let rain flow under the bra and soak the lining. When the sun comes out it turns the water to steam and it will chew up the paint. Not a lot of fun taking the bra off in the parking lot but easier than getting the front repainted. With the new water based paints, chips are a real problem. I guess the Expel stuff works but the bra does too and I have gotten used to their looks. Now if I can get that camera to work....

I have the COLGAN bra also and I feel like I have to slam it extremely hard in order to get the hood closed. Overall I like the bra...it fits really tight on the hood but I was wondering if it is normal to have to slam the hood so damn hard.

I haven't had to slam it on hard at all. My only problem is that maybe it is TOO tight. They said it's pliable so if I leave it in the sun for about 30 min it should become a little stretchy.
Is yours on perfectly???

RON, I agree. Trapping water under bra is probably how most folks do most damage.
brendanlim, those pix look great, btw. The fit appears excellent. The bra is indeed supposed to be tight, since it does become more pliable in the sun, plus tight fit means less flap. Should be a little harder to close the hood, but not godawfully so.
Guess the UPS guys were running behind. They always have supervisors on their butts about time in the truck (they are on hourly wage), so apparently your guy was trying to get through the day as quickly as possible.

marketbully - Of all the cars I have owned and put bras on, only Toyotas get a little more difficult to close the hood on. I would not refer to it as having to really slam it but I guess the tolerances and spaces on the Toyotas are just closer than anything else, including bimmers. On the GS, I do notice it takes a little firmer push to get the hood closed but I wouldn't refer to it as really having to slam it. Might want to make sure that none of the straps are in the way of the latching mechanism and that the parts of the lower section of bra that goes around the front and bumper are laying as flat as possible.
