Yes me and my buddy did all the work in my garage. It took 3 solid weekends to do it.
Well first off, I did want to go the 4.7 route, but after talking w/Lex from lextreme. There is other factors to deal with, other that just bolting it up, plus the extra 80lbs from the IRON block of the 4.7. This thing is already a tank anyway. Lex was trying to help me solve my "problem" as quicks & cheep as possible. So, I was just letting the vvti 400 nation know that, if this happened to you that is a possible route you could go in. I did replace all the rod bearings, but no upgrading to the internals.

This is what Lex just posted in a thread called (4.7L should I) in the SC section.
Yes you can bolt up the 2uzfe in your SC4 but you will need alot of wiring and other misc connections. Your down time be at least few months to get it running properly. My 4.7L with 1uzfe heads was documented. Low compression with stage II cams with stock tires. Tires spin from a dead stop to almost 6k rpm. That is fun!

So if you decided to do the swap just make sure you have someone to help you with the wiring and you also need to know how to bypass the security system. Good luck...
