Hello everybody,

I am belgian and brand new in the forum.

My dad would like to purchase a 1994 SC400 (exported to Belgium from Canada I think) but the vendor and my dad are totally unable to find where on the car the chassis number is written. Somewhere in the motor? On a door? Under the car? Can someone help me please?? This situation is annoying because the belgian authorities refuses the transaction because the car has no identified chassis number.

1000 thanks for who can help me out.

have all a nice day,

Vincent

The last 7 digits on my 1998 GS400 is 0006988 manufactured in Jan of 1998. But then at the bottom it has color code, trim code, axel code, transmission code, model, "made in Japan," and then "No: 107"

What's the 107?

I don't think those numbers mean anything we know about. At the bottom of my Vin on the inside of my door it say 0865 and I know in 2005 only 422 GS430's were made so what does 0865 represent?

As far as Vin, that OP and others have speculated, mine is like 18,XXX as my last 5 numbers.. Still only 422 GS430's made in 2005.. and i know only about 12,000 V8 GS's ever made so that 18,000 Vin number on my car not accurate nore is the 865 right below my Vin..

My 1999 GS400, has no numbers under the Vin inside the door.. I ordered my car Fall of 1998.. so there's no definitive answer.

It really doesn't matter now, all i know is they are Rare cars, we are starting to see less and less of them on the road. You use to could see GS300's everywhere, not so much these days. I don't see many Lexus cars over 15 years old. My 2005 is 12 years old and that the last year of the 2 Gen GS.. If you see a Gem like a GS400 or GS430 not thrash out and modded nicely, it's generally one of us Clublexus people..
