The mileage is high i just picked up a 01 gs430 in march for 12k with 86k miles. love the powerband and torque and very comfortable car. i would say search around for a one with less miles for that price.

^^ i also would like to know where this info came from.
as for the original poster, i just picked up a 02 sport design with 60k and all dealer maintenance for 13k. its 1 owner and been well taken car of and was garaged its whole life. Its not the 430 so there is a price difference. that mileage isnt bad but timing belt and water pump should be changed asap. Also check the other belts along with fluids. Try finding out if the trans fluid was ever replaced. most places will NOT do a trans flush on cars with over 100k that has no record of a flush before.
Its getting harder to find these cars in good shape anymore so most people try holding their asking price because they know you probably wont find another one. Good luck and keep us updated

However, the caster arm (which directly correlates to balljoint wear and failure) was modified in 2001, and then received an upgraded bushing (same as TRD spec) in 2003.
1998-2000, 2001-2002, 2003-2005 all have different part numbers for caster arms. The 2003-2005 arm can be installed on any 2GS though.
