Default Trd Stb???

I have a 2000 gs400... I want to get the TRD STB but have been told that in order to use this I HAVE to remove my engine cover. I like the way the engine cover loosk on the gs400 and do not want to give it up. Is this true? I have heard from some people you have to remove the cover or the TRD STB will not fit properly... Please respond with pics and info. Thanks

Only GS430 requires to remove the engine cover for TRD STB. You can keep your engine cover for GS400.

I have my engine cover removed.. because it is rub against the STB. I did not use the spacer.... and don't want to use it between my bar and body...

Right - I don't have the TRD STB, but I've seen one installed on a 400, and there is no clearance issue.

No you don't need to remove the Engine cover for it to fit on the GS400 .....it is a good fit!
