i started mine, i did short my passenger door ecu though hahahaha

i did them both ways for the DIY so people can have a option. As for my own lights,i like the way the footlights dim off so i wired mine into the footlights. i also have a few pics where i wired them to the door interior light at the bottom of the door panel so if people wanted to wire them there, they could.
