PS: For all the neigh-sayers out there, I have 225/45/17 on a 10.5 and I've seen a 225/40/18 on an 11". The 19" wheel would be no different sans the shorter side-wall height that makes it a bit difficult to seat compared to the others.

PPS: Are you trying to fit those wheels on a 2GS?
I think you might be wrong on this one. The shorter sidewall will make all the difference. The 225/40 and 225/45 fit on the 10.5 and 11" because the side wall was so thick. As the side walls get thinner they become much more firm, thus making 35 series much harder to stretch out.

My old setup I have 10.5" with 235/35R19 front and 12" with 275/30R19 rear.
In the front I might have gotten away with a 225/35, so you might barely make it on an 11" but I wouls stick with 235. In the rear I was definitely maxed out. The bead of tire didnt even touch flange of the rim. I could fit 2 credit cards. Some tires the side wall can stretch a little better than others. As c4lvin said. These are going to be damn hard to seat.

Here is a post from the VipStyleCars forum. Hope this will help.

Massive Pull front and back

This is my rear. Fenders are getting pulled an extra 3mm and repainted sometime after november 12th. Then the real will be as nice as my fronts.

^^^thanks for the info. I ended up going with

235/35/19 on a x11 front
265/30/19 on a x12 rear

both fronts and rears are nicely stretched, but if I were to hit a pot hole, my lips are done for haha

I think it would have been a better if I went with 225/35/19 in the front.
