I think that the Insane Stance and Offset meet would be a perfect setting for the next Lexfest.
Check out the websites.. Also CL member BIG TY is featured there!

well, I doubt you'll get west coasters to go east and vice versa, but what if weat coast and east coast coordinated on the same day(s) for the meet... at least it would be a national meet in one way...

Yeah that would be the best idea. Because no one is going to travel that far. Can a mod move this to a location where more than just the 2GS people can weigh in. I like the national day of Lexus meets. Maybe an East, Central and West could all coordinate meets.

I don't think the ISO guys have planned that far in advance but if we get enough interest from CL maybe they will work with us and let us pick the best time. I think they had the one this year in April or May.
Yes my car will definitely be done by then.

Lexfest in md we had team Lexus as the focus, along with a dyno day.
In ga we had the 24 hour race(team lex backed out) and the aquarium
To make an event worthwhile, I'd try and schedule around an event. No one want to drive 1000+ miles for a mall parking lot meet. Haha.

I like the idea of a coordinated regional Lexfest annual meet, say like the West Coast, the Southwest, Southeast, and Northeast as the 4 major regions. The other option would be to just have a Lexfest annual meet scheduled around a major event in each region because it might be too hard to coordinate for the same day, so that way, if some diehard, dedicated CL members were crazy enough to travel to hit each one, they could. I know the Southeast has Petit Lemans at Road Atlanta, and Dave and Mike coordinated with Lexus corporate so there was a Lexus Corral reserved for us during the last Lexfest, and the Southwest has the annual Supra showdown (forget what that's called), and there are myriad events on the West Coast and Carlisle, Pa in the Northeast always host big car events (ie. Corvettes at Carlisle come to mind) so I'm sure something could be arranged with the folks up in Carlisle, Pa.

I think the best central location for everyone on the east coast would be to arrange a meet up in the mountains of NC near deals gap(Tail of the Dragon), and then lodging and entertainment would be carried out at night in Pigeon Forge. It's a great little town that is literally a small resort town in the mountains with lots of restaurants and hotels.

Guys with the current state of the economy I don't think organizing this event will get anywhere near the turnout we will want.
Lexfest is always going to be a Lexus-only east-coast event (West coast folks have a lot of very large standing events already) that was meant to rotate north to south each year. Mikefate is spot on - something to get folks to travel needs to have additional events around it as a draw. We also need to have a large local base of members to make sure the event is sizable (that is also part of the draw).
Members involved in the past Lexfest events still have access to the committee planning forum if somebody disagrees with me on the timing and wants to start throwing out ideas and invest the time in planning that's all good. And if folks want to make other large meets that's cool too. I personally believe we need to wait a bit.
