Bumping this thread up for those who are slammed and scraping underneath. I know Dara and Rickey don't frequent CL much anymore so I ask the rest of you. My pipes underneath are damaged in some way where I think my heatshield is rattling which by the way is very annoying. I tried to get the heatshield strapped and secured in place but I couldn't even drive the car into the bay at a local Midas because something underneath was hitting bad. The bay is elevated about 2" or so and I couldn't angle the car in. The guy at the shop said that he can raise the piping up some to help reduce the scraping. Reading this post it appears that the guy was not BS'ing me and that the pipes can be raised. Does anyone know if this can be done with the existing pipes or would new piping be needed? I have a feeling that new piping will be needed or recommended since these are the same pipes that have been on the car for years.
