I've been mainly on LOC over the past 6 years

I went with glossy black. As for "better left alone" comments are concerned. I like the way it turned out, the grille had a lot of chips in it and needed to be painted either way. I don't mind having minor chrome trim on my cars. However, I don't want it all over the place.

I was just bored and did it for fun
most likely I'm going to change the grill anyways -_-
but honestly it doesn't look bad at all.
We all have our own style's & taste in what we like..
That's the reason there's not two cars that look alike in every detail

nah, not at all. i been wanting to do one for awhile but i never had a replacement, now that i have my TTE grill/lip when i get that painted i will get my 2001 done in black onyx 202

Like I said I was bored & did it very fast & didn't feel like waiting for the clear coat to dry
& thanks for your $0.02
I might just re-do it glossy next week
hopefully it does look better

cool, your car mod it as you choose regardless of what others think, long as you like it.

im deciding if im gonna keep my oem 2001 grill or not....

me personally I haven't seen an aftermarket grill I liked
I'm thinking of drawing up a design & seeing if my guy can make it.

You should do a flat/matte black and gloss combo. All flat makes it look like it is just primered.
