Default Tips finally installed!!! :D

Ok not necessarily exhaust... I want some sick exhaust tips for the rear of my car and LOVE the JP exhaust, however I find it to be quite pointless and a waste of money to spend $1k+ for exhaust when you dont want any sound. I love exhaust, but not for my GS So anyways I'm doing what a few have done and buying an exhaust tip to weld on to my stocker. I've also found that its pretty impossible to find the proper angled tip, but ran across this and I'd like to find out from those who know, isnt this a pretty darn close angle to what I'm looking for? Yes I'm aware that this is a crimp on type tip, but I'm gonna have a friends muffler shop chop it and weld it on (if its possible of course) but before spending this kind of money I want to get some feedback to make sure this looks right, thanks for the help folx

Oh forgot to ask most important question... What is the diameter of the JP exhaust tip? Is it 4" or 5"? thanks.

about a week or 2 of countless searching through 14,000 exhaust tips on ebay! Last night I ran across them and WHEW! I was so excited... I hope its not a waste of money when I get them However, once I got the model number of them I did what I usually do... Googled it to see if I can find it cheaper else where, and I did gonna save about $15 bucks on both through amazon. But looks like they only have 1 also am waiting for confirmation... I also found another one that has a 3" inlet 4" outlet (instead of 3.5" inlet 4"outlet like this one) for $10 bucks less each, gonna see if I can do those instead to save a buck. My bud is gonna chop off the back and butt it up to the chopped stocker and with a little cleaning it should look just like the JP

nope the exhaust cutouts on the GS kits are 5" alone and muffler shops always say you gotta have a 1/2" clearance on each side. If you look at Chrispy's bumper, theres clearance on both sides I was at my buds shop today and saw a 4" and man its pretty big. I'm currently awaiting a reply from he whom I sent a message in regards to measurements

yea but you have to remember chrispy has an aftermarket rear bumper so the cut outs are larger, so it may be 5"

I hope you get the tips man, ive been contemplating on doing the same like 5t341th did , since i dont really want mine loud also

I too have an aftermarket kit. Measures 5 inches. and i'm sure there are many who have ran this with stock kit. IDK, 5" seams so massive...

You just dont know man! Hard to find that perfect angle on just a tip. But when it comes to doing something right... Gotta do the research (wish I did that when I chose my rims LoL)

yup. I gave up when looking for rims... When the guy brought out so many rim catalogs (about 4 feet wide worth) I said eff it! LoL well actually I found a sweet custom set, but didnt want to wait 4 months for them, so after a month I settled for what he had sitting there. (shame on me)

I'll measure it when I can. I'm pretty sure it's a 4 inch tip but the extensions are a little bigger. Possibly 4.5. It also looks bigger because it's angle cut and single walled.
