30,000+ miles in less than a year...
So I have had my 02 GS430 for about 10 months now and have already put over 30,000 miles on it. I usually put a lot of miles on my car, but I think this is a new record for me. I had my 2001 IS300 for 2.5 years and put 70,000 miles on it, but this GS looks like its going to beat that record. Im looking to get another car in the next month so I don't rack up the miles on this thing. I have a friend whose dad had 113,000 miles on his RX400h in just under 2 years. At 101,000 miles something with the transmission went wrong and Lexus couldn't diagnose it. When they finally found the problem they said it was the first time they had ever seen anything like it go wrong. I don't remember exactly what it was, but Lexus told him it was the highest mileage RX400h they had seen and fixed everything free. They even replaced his batteries for free. I sound like I have no point, but im curious to see who else racks up the miles like crazy.

Dang!!! That is alot of mileage... I had my 430 since like February last year and I only put like 7k on it. That is with minimal driving for about quarter of the timespan till now though. So I would say roughly 12k-15k is about average for NY... Keep in mind that you are in Cali though... But I think 30k is a bit high... lol

I put 50 000 miles on my Acura TL in 2008,
in 2009, I drove two cars, GS430 and a Caddy STS, put about 40 000 miles on them total.
I live about 55 miles from work, and also travel for business.
I'm gonna try and put 1 000 000km's on the GS430 (Currently at 250 000kms)

Yeah it is easy to rack up the miles in Southern California. I drive from LA to Orange County, San Diego, the Inland Empire, and Santa Barbara on a regular basis. Lexus has impressed me with how reliable these cars stay, even into higher mileage. The IS300 had an O2 sensor go out in the 70,000 miles I had it for. So far the GS430 has needed nothing but oil changes and just this week a new set of tires.
