My though too. It's all about the total package.

 

stock GS400 is fast? Personally speaking, I think my GS is slow though it beat 540 couple times before. The drivers probably didn't know how to shift the gear right.

 

only some of them are nice...its just the color u get.....the only one i think looks good is black and silver...i seen those green,brown and some light color crap and it looks like ****...the black and silver ones look best...

 

you GS4 guys can't complain, the GS3 is actually quite slow and i am afraid of even rice rockets sometimes, small cars with small engines go about as fast as my medium size car with medium engine! you guys have medium car with big engine!

0-60 in 7.7 sec is nothign to write home about, but 5.6 is!!

i think the GS4 is very quick even stock, its only fall back is the suspension

 

Fast is relative (to the times) and subjective. While I am glad its not, i think the GS4 performance should be the minimum available in all cars.

You will always want a little more eventually.
I like a car that you have trouble keeping up with shifting. Now thats fast.
When you get in the range of 1hp for every 6 or 7lbs.. things happen really quick.

 

I guess you can say a stock GS is fast...but to me not fast enough...

 

There may be cars as fast or faster than a GS4 these days, but you have to admit, the refinement and luxury of a Lexus still can't be beat. Regardless if you are in a Nissan Skyline or Dodge Viper, I'll take my GS4 over those cars anyday.

Yeah, ide be scared too if i was on the freeway and all of a sudden this SI or Type-R passes me by and kills me...

But in the end, when the guy in the rice rocket goes home, all he has is his nintendo and playstation to play with. Us lexus people have our girls to play with.

 

You know I am 28, I drive an SI and have been married a little over five years. When I get home I have an X Box, Dreamcast, PS2 and GCN to play with. Lets not stereotype. I have been reading this board for a while and I found it a nice change of pace from the Si boards. It is comments like that that give car boards a bad name.

i guess i wasnt reffering to you, but this statement sort of does come true alot. Everytime i see a ricer, they always have a nother friend i nthe car, most of the time, a male. Everytime i see a guy in a lex, bmw, jag, etc. racing, its either them alone, or a hot girl.

i love cl and dont want it to become a stereotype of place, but its what ive observed.
