DAMN THOSE GS400's ARE FAST!!!!!
yea so last night i was at my grandmothers house and my cousin comes from jersey with his sisters 2000 silver GS4...i took it for a spin and that **** pulls ***.....everyturn i made i felt the power and i made the wheels smoking....my LS4 doesnt have power like that....almost makes me wanna go get a GS4 now...but ill stick to the SC3/4 or Legend Type 2 coupe for now....
i under estimated those gs's i thought they were just big and had a powerful engine cause of the weight but i felt the power alrite....
just givin ya some respect...

yup the type 2 legend coupe 6 speed....I wish i could find one..with desent miles and price....some owners want a left nut for one...lol

I know I will probably get boo'ed for saying this, but, not really that fast anymore.
In case you have not noticed, cars are getting faster and faster now days. I have a '99 GS400, when I first got it, it was fast for a sedan. M5 wasn't out yet, only E55 and XJR will out run it, and 540 runs even steven with it, you beat most of sedans out there and even good amount of sports cars. That was pretty damn fast back then.
Now days?? if I lined up at the light against a new Altima, I don't even know if I denifitely can beat him, that's pretty sad. What can you do? Cars are getting fast from factory.

540 does not run even with the GS430/400.
The 540 sport runs 0-60 in 5.5...
At one point, the GS was coined the fastest sedan with an automatic transmission.
And its true, its not the car is getting slower, its that your so used to it, that its becoming old, so you need more speed. Its like people who drive Jettas and Camrys get used to their cars speed, so they dont really think their cars are slow.
No matter what car you have, and no matter how fast it is, you will always want to go faster... Even Viper owners go to Hennessy to make their 12 second car faster.

I had a Legend LS 6 speed it was a 1994 and it was quick but I only got a 15.6 out of mine. I had a exhuast and intake. No doubt its a quick car for its size and weight! To bad they stop make them

The 0-60 numbers really doesn't prove much.
In real world, I have witnessed 6sp 540 run 14.5 on track, I run 14.5 too at the sametime. And there are automatic 540 too. GS400/430 and 540 are very close in performance, neither has an edge.

well...i never driven a gs4 and i have a 90 ls4 and i noticed the difference as soon as floored it....thats what i am tryin to say tha the gs4 is one fast car...
there will always be faster cars comming out of the factory...but can u really say u want a nissan altima compared to a lexus??? the only nissan i would choose over any lexus is a skyline or soemthing...that is just high hopes tho....
