New Radio, Can i use stock amp?
Hey guys, all the leds are burnt out in the stock radio on my 99 gs300, i want to replace it with a pioneer double din, i used to have one in my 98 gs but i never wired it to the stock amp i just ran a 4 channel and components, however i dont want to do it with this one.
Is there a way to use the stock amp and speakers as well as the stock sub?

Actually theres no way to do it. When you do the search you will find the problem that even with an interface, the amp doesnt turn on. Apparently the factory deck is the only that will send a signal to the factory amp to turn on. Apparently theres no single wire from the deck to amp that is a signal wire cause in MY world, I'd find out what turns the amp on and run it to ignition but apparently its not possible. the whole wire each speaker separately (with relays) is to use an aftermarket dvd player or any auxiliary unit. At least the ones I read up on: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...em-stereo.html

i would hate to get an aftermarket radio and have to rewire everything, i am not going to butcher this one, i did my other gs and i hated myself for it, even though it was a nice and clean install i just love the stock sound and dont feel like messing with the wiring of everything, i guess ill just have to figure out a way to get a new led dislpay screen

if you can get a matching harness to plug in to the plug on the output side of the amp (the one that goes to the speakers) find out what speaker each wire goes to, you can make your own harness from the deck to that plug and have it done with no hacking. Just the woofer wont be hooked up... What I did for about 2 weeks, as I waited for all my audio components to come in, Unhooked one of the rear speakers and ran the woofer to it sounded pretty good (if not bothered with one speaker not operating) or you can do the same plug configuration mentioned, buy a small low output amp (maybe 50 watts will do the trick) and hook it up to the woofer and keep all functions
