Default super charger questions

Wondering what would a super charger cost and what would be the ramifications on the engine. I'm sure people have done it before. I'm just trying to get some answers before i go on and buy an M5 2003. I need about 420 hp, oh i forgot i would.. obviously get some lowering springs and strut bars. I need some info on what springs to get while i lower the car without losing that nice airplane ride. Thanks for the info guys..

Regards,

Rob

Looks like he's looking for 420bhp since he's comparing it to an E39 M5. That should be much more attainable than 420whp

i have a GS400. I want to get headers, y pipe, intake and exhaust. I saw this GS400 that sounded beautiful and boy do i want that 8 cylinder roaring, it's on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks5C8GC_qvQ, but with extra hp i need to go for it. Most important is money, i have a wife and she's **** and wants a new Audi, but my opinion is NO! I've always wanted an M5 all my life, i had an M3 before that. Before i go for my M5 i need to know how much hp i can get with little money, see if it's worth it. I also have a scientist for a mechanic and labor wise... cheap for any fellow GS member who needs him. He only works on Sunday's. My car is also for sale and people want to rape me, has had all major maintenance done, so... my brain is all over the place.

Whats up Jokster, any pics of your interior??

Rob

I'd recommend going M5...for the money I have in my motor compared to HP, I couldve made more with a better performance platform.

Last night i was with a buddy that owns a 2003 M5 with the S2 paackage, I was all over his care like you can't imagine... til he told me the stealership replaced the clutch for $5000.00, he says he knows he got takened but, for $2500-$3000 i can replace it the clutch some where else, a little expensive...? Back to life.... Back to reality....

Anyways speedaddic... ball park figure just for engine work.? Remember i have this young kid that's a wiz with these cars and gives me awesome labor prices.

You may be able to get into an M5 for relatively cheap.. but the cost of parts, performace or stock will choke you.
M5 is a great car but complicated and pricey to maintain.. especially since the last year for the e39 M5 was 03.. so you are looking a a minimum of a 7 year old car.

I'm in for a lot...I could buy another gs400 with them money I have in the motor/tranny/sc..and have money left over to mod it. Granted, I'll make more hp than the 394/337tq I have in my sig.

First of all, Love Chris Farley... huge fan. I've spent alot of money maintenance wise on my lex but when i travel to Manchester or Ludlow VT... u want something like an M3 or M5. My overall preference has always been the 94 Toyota Supra TT, but i can't get finance on a car so old. Funny thing is that this car is older than either car mentioned and yet more expensive

That's speedattic for your info..
