Default Semi-Noob here with a recently purchased GS400(Pix and a door lock question)

Sup everyone, just thought i would post up some pictures of this 98 GS400 i picked up recently. The car was bought just how it sits, so i wouldnt have to go out and spend money on parts myself, LOL. Its got Tein CS coilovers(unsure of what gen), SSR GT2 18s and a magaflow exhaust (sounds good!)

Anyhow, i had a question on the door locks. The key that came with the car is the master key, but the buttons on it didnt work. So i had an alarm put on it today and they told me the door locks didnt work on the car. The door locks ONLY work if i put the key in the door to lock/unlock. Is this a door lock actuator issue?? I went and had this alarm put on so i wouldnt have to deal with putting the key in the door everytime i wanted to get in, which i still have to do before arming the alarm. Any input on this is appreciated!

On to the pictures of the car....

Nice clean GS. Congrats!

Regarding the doorlock issue...
Do all the doorlocks malfunction?
What happens when you push the "unlock" button? Does the alarm just beep twice but not unlock the doors?
Is there an audible "beep" heard whenever you use the buttons on the key?
What happens when you hold down on the "unlock" button for about 5-10 secs? Do all the windows roll down?

Car is clean!! I like it.

As for the doorlock thing, I have one door that the actuator is stuck. So when I go to lock the car and I don't hear the beep I know I have to manually go to that door and lock it so the I can hear the beeps. Also check the battery on the key-fob.

sounds like door lock actuators... see if you power lock/unlock the doors from inside the car and see if they still work...

Well none of the buttons on the actual key work at all. But if i hit the lock button on the inside, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. But if i stick the key in the door, it locks/unlocks all the doors every single time. Using my new alarm its a bit weird. It wont lock/unlock the doors, UNLESS i put the key in the door and lock it first, then hit the alarm pad button to lock, i hear all the locks, lock again. Then if i hit to unlock, it will unlock all the doors. Its a really weird situation... lol.

first off, get a battery for the key and see if anything changes...

from what I understand, if one door lock actuator is bad, it can affect them all. You might try having someone look at them and see if you can diagnose the issue without spending money on aftermarket products.

When i said the buttons dont work, i should have said they are broken, lol. The previous owner super glued the thing back together and put a gel skin on it. They dont physically work anymore.
