Default Just a thought...

Kinda been bummed out lately cuz I've spent so much cash on mods for my 430 (srt intake+ecu, s&s headers, full custom exhaust w/ 2.5" piping using magnaflow high flow cats/mufflers w/ x-pipe, and 3.76 lsd rear end)

Don't get me wrong she pulls hard off the line, but its just no comparison to the current cars on the market... Just wonder what it would be like if there was some way to fit the IS-F motor in my GS (of course only if I hit the lotto or something) Idk it was just a daydream that I thought I would share...

Here's a vid of my exhaust if you wanna hear it...

Why not do a supra (2jz-gte) motor swap?

it's a 4k lbs boat... you will need FI or Nos if you want to get her moving fast... we drive luxury sedans, not supersport compacts...

And then FI!

Yeah like the guy above me said, to add to that...

If people are buying these cars with the priority to make them fast on a budget in respect to modern day 500 hp stock cars, you are in for a trip. If you want cheap power you better get an ls1 or mustang.

Don't supercharge it, just my opinion. Its hard to compare old technology to the new technology. Like the top of the line old school projection to the new LED TV's. You'll just keep kicking yourself...no matter what add on things you do, it will not compare.

Sounds good, but a little raspy for my taste.

I only paid roughly $175 for my exhaust setup.

Its that simple. All those mods and there are newer stock cars that will still pull on you. I am sure the IS-F engine could be swapped in. Throw enough money at it and it will fit like a glove and run like a champ.

Or you can always buy the LS1 GS that's for sale.

Coming from someone who used to own a modded Cobra, I think the exhaust sounds good. Maybe just a tad too raspy, but overall sounds pretty good.

Of course I know, but my dream is to have a 4-door luxury that will murder anything that pulls up next to it... especially 2-door sports cars.. but i dont ever think i could go american.. well unless it was a z06, or even the zr-1

lol like I said if I hot the lotto the IS-F motor would be one of my main priorities lol... But as far as the ls1 in that GS.. it's very unique and i give my props to the owner, but me personally, I would only stick to toyota/lexus motor for my gs

Yea I wouldn't mind the sound being a lil smoother, which could easily be obtained by adding some resonators... but I love seeing the look on peoples faces when I pass by lol

Maybe I just need to go ahead and do that and see where it gets me... sigh... more money to be wasted lol
