Default my cigarette lighter isn't working in my car

oh yeah btw i just picked up a 98 gs400.. but yeah im not able to charge my cell phone because both of the cigarette plugs arent working. can somebody help me? thanks

have you helped yourself yet,did u check the fuse box(es)?

yeah i did the fuse box by the battery but doesnt have anything that says "cig" on it

There's two fuse boxes inside the vehicle, one in each kick panel. It will be located in one of those. I only remember the driver side having a cig lighter fuse, but off the top of my head I can't be sure.

FWIW...I took mine to the dealer after changing the fuse myself. Apparently one of the electrical contacts at the back was loose. Maybe check to see if they are loose on yours.

I had the same problem before i checked if the back was loose but wasn't, i checked the fuse box by the driver side kick panel and the fuse was blown.

so you should check your fuse box by the driver side kick panel, just release your ebrake to get to it easier.

Ya, you most likely have a blown fuse. It's a 15.
