Default Headlight housings

Hey guys,
I've searched through, but I haven't really found anything specific to this. I've gathered from what I've seen that painting the housings themselves is better than just smoking the lenses, so would flat black or dark chrome housings be better on my silver car? I'd just like some opinions.

Gunmetal FTW If you really wanna smoke the lenses though, a REALLY light tint might look awesome. I hate tinted headlights, but like a 75% tint would look classy I think.

Yeah, I don't think I really want to go with the tint. I think dark chrome housings would look awesome too. Now I need to find someone who isn't scared like me to take apart a headlight haha. The whole oven thing is a bit intimidating.
