Default Lamp Housings ??

I've finally decided to pony up for some new lenses and housings. I've grown tired of polishing the lenses. So I've done some research and discovered that the housings are differently priced depending on which year model you're looking for.

Does anyone know what the differences are besides the ones with the green tint? I'd like to get the cheapest set, but I also want an easy install.

Thanks

98-00 -> clear (cheapest)
01-05 -> green tint (little more expensive)
Sport Design -> the inner housing has a gray tint to it (probably the most expensive)

Also, do you have oem HIDs?

I believe the green tint is also on the housing, not the lens.

I've got a 98 400 w/factory HID. What I found out is that the 98 and 01-02 are the most expensive. The next cheapest is the 03-05, by $25 a side. Finally the cheapest are the 99-00 which are another $30 cheaper a side from the 03-05s. So the difference from the the most expensive to the least is $110 total. Not a huge difference, but enough that I could get some extra stuff with the cheaper price.

My real point is though, if the dealer is pricing them differently, are there any functional or asthetical differences that warrant the price differences. The only difference I'm aware of are the ones with the green tint (in the housing, not lens).

Since my GS is gold, I didn't think the SD lamps would look good, so I didn't bother pricing them, but considering the limited number of SDs, I'd suspect that they'd be the most expensive.

Dealer pricing is probably based on prices from Toyota which are probably based on the costs of producing the parts at the time they were made.

To my knowledge there is no difference other then color and the aiming levels.

the beam angle gauge is different also and the bubble leveler....the older ones only had one big bubble leveler in it, the new ones have two separate small ones
