Snow skiers often used yellow tinted lens in their ski goggles becuase it helps to bring out the contrast in what would otherwise be whiteout conditions. A yellow or amber light source provides the same capability. Regretably many manufacturers, Lexus included, only allow the use of fogs along with low beam headlamps which suppresses the effect.
