Default Crack/bent subframe

hi guys, earlier i went to jack the car up and i noticed there was a crack/bent in my rear subframe located by the rear passenger wheel, im suspecting this is from the previous owner who didn't jack the car up with a floorjack correctly. Is this damage only cosmestic or does it cause the car's frame to feel wobbly and flex in any way? i read in a thread that the subframe towards the rear of the car is actually very flimsy and weak. Help would be thanked!

This is fine. Its just a hollow track on the side of your car that is used to run some electrical stuff if needed. It's not actually your subframe and will not affect the way your car should drive. Mine is scuffed up by the last owner also.

^^ Yeah, it's fine.

I'd try to seal it somehow, though.

that is not a subframe and you are FINE with a little bend on the undercarriage. Subframe is under the engine holding the engine in and the suspension parts, in the front of car not in rear.

And yes you are right that is from some dumb *** jacking the car up in the back THE WRONG WAY.

Jacking up the car in front from the frame bar is safe in back is not safe (u get the bend u see in pic) ... better off in back to jack up from the lip where the car jacks up with the car jack in the trunk (unsafe never work with jack from car use a floor jack with stands)

Actually, the best place to jack your car from the rear would be underneath your rear differential as the differential is tied up the rear rear subframe therefore spreading out the weight.

the actual rear subframe is good to jack it up by but the actual diff is not made to be used as a lifting point as it stresses those bushings and compresses them flat causing early failure . It hold the torquing movements of the drive shaft and the weight of the diff nothign else.

Would you happen to have a pic of the lifting point in the rear?

Thanks
