New discovery on our GS's
me and my freind were comparing our spoilers ( he has a factory spoiler and I have the dealer add on ) and he noticed that I have a key hole on my trunk and his car doesnt , his car is a 98 GS400 with factory spoiler ( no third brake light by the subwoofer ) mine is a dealer installed option and my car is a 99 GS400. So for any of you guys with 98 GS400/300 look at your cars and see if you have a key hole in your trunks it could be that the ones that dont have them have the factory installed spoiler too

This is one minor complaint I have about my GS--the darn keyhole that breaks up the smoothness of the trunk! One thing I really like about my Acura CL is that there is no keyhole; you can only open the truck from the release near the driver's door or using the remote. It certainly adds to the sleek look of the rear of the car!

I think the other reason why the keyhole is there on our GS is because you can't access the trunk from the back seat. So if can't open the trunk with your keys or the electric release in the car you may be hose....thus the old fashion way...with the key.

I think you are the volunteer to make this keyhole cover thing work! Given your prior track record, I bet it will look awesome. Pics, please, when you're done...
