Default Car over heat

So I was driving on 99 today, about 1 and a half ago, and my car over heat. I didn't know there was a problem until I looked and saw my temperature were at the highest level... I don't even know how long I was driving like that.

Anyhow, I pulled to the side of the road and later popped the hood... looked around for a bit and found my upper radiator hose popped off.

Crazy... don't know what would cause that. I'm just hoping I didn't ruin the head. there should be lights flashing for these kind of thing cus I was not even aware that there was a problem.

Yep, it ran. I called the tow truck, they dropped it in front of my house. drove the car in the garage.

i noticed a lot of v8 2gs has upper radiator hose slipperage. most of them slip by a good fingergap but that's still more than enough for the clamp to hold it down. I push the hose back where it belongs and re-tighten them anyway. a slightly longer hose would definitely solve the problem.
