Yeah..you've got the same idea as me Jokester.

Make a cup that sits over the bag, protecting it, that way whatever would rub on the bag, would rub on the cup instead. You could even make some sort of half cup shield type piece, just to protect the area that would get rubbed on.

Or ditch it and go Hydraulics...heheh.

exactly, just a half piece, just not sure how structurally stable it would be. The next problem would be, what kind of wear would be done to the arm. I was also thinking of welding a cross brace on the inside of the bend of the spindle arm, then cutting the arc off completely. If dont right, it should hold strong, as long as its away from the rim wish I had the $$ to mess around with this stuff
