Default who else had issues with RMM grill?

who else had issues with RMM grill?

Everyone getting form/fitment issues? Seems like the dipples on the top are common. And some people are getting a gap on the top noticble from the side view?
Anyone getting any other issues? Let me know.

I'm very picky and everything has to be perfect or i get stressed.

Default RMM

I returned mine immediately upon receipt because I recognized it was a sub-standard product. Bought the L-tuned instead.

Mine didn't fit that flush. The top corners are very tight with the center top having a small gap.

Yeah I have the same problem with the gap at the top. I a very disappointed at the quality of the RMM grilll. I have seen the L-Tune grill and I think it is constructed a lot better.

The vehicle I purchased had the RMM grill installed & I was very concerned about the structural integrity of the middle fin of the grill.

Over time, it has sagged & does not stay horizontally flat. Now, I'm in the process of going Blitz or otherwise.

Then thats pretty amazing...I have had so many $10's of thousands maby even $100 thousands of just mods on cars and none of them have ever been perfect fit, finish or produce no problems, big or small. Whether it's Brembo to wings west, to lowenhart, to running full coilovers or just springs, hell, even most deck installs have some little problem. There's always something small wrong.

Default Poor fit as well

My RMM is currently not on my car because of the poor fit - I posted this fact in the group buy thread but it was apparently ignored - I was not the only one who had fitment problems with the RMM before the GB and since then more have shown up. I'd say that unless you're willing to try some "adjustment" to force it to fit, don't bother. I am going to try a heat gun (carefully) and if that doesn't work scrap the RMM. Personally, I do like the design but the way that it fits (or doesn't fit) is not acceptable for anyone who is even a little picky. Every one delivered may not be a lemon - but too many are.

Apparently RMM has a QALTY CONTOL problem (they can't even spell it).

well i know now that if i dont get it to where i want it, there will be no chance to sell it to a member here. but thats cool, i wouldnt want someone to have something that i wasnt satisfied with luckily they arent all that expensive and still look good to the casual observer. most everyone that i mention the fitment problem to says that im being too ****.

Default Balderdash!

Those guys are just analphobic - it's my considered opinion that if you accept crap on your car, you'll also be satisfied with leisure suits and white belts.

What is it about the L-tuned, L-Sportline, or RMM grilles that people want? I took a pic of my secretary's honda accord coupe today -- the grille is almost identical to those aftermarket GS grilles. I couldn't post it because it was over the size limit for attached files. But why make your LEXUS look like a Honda?

Wink

GS300.ru - I feel your pain too.

dipstick - you're right about the general design of the Honda grille but a properly fitting, quality painted RMM does look great on a GS - in my opinion.

If adding an RMM grille that "looks like a Honda" grille (the others you mention don't look the same) makes a Lexus GS look like a Honda, I guess I see why some VW beetle owners added the "Rolls Royce" style grille - would make it hard to tell them apart.
