Default Suggestions with fitment and tire sizing

So I've been reading up on wheel/tire fitment options for 2Gs owners and have a few questions for all of you that have been there and done that. Currently my 2gs has Tein Stech's, but I will be getting RCA's for the front and rear soon. The drop should be decent and yet still maintain a nice ride for my wife and newborn. Here's a link to a similar suspension set up, the only difference being that I will be running an Exact RCA in the rear, so my rear ride height will be 1/4" higher than this( https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-pictures.html )

I have a set of 19" wheels on my car already, but recently purchased a set of 20's. The rears is where I have a question. The fitment is fairly aggressive ( 20x10.5 +25 ) and my tire selection is what I'm a little curious about. I know I will need to shave the rear fenders, but do you guys think it's possible to run a 275/30 out back? Only reason I ask is that the wheels came with this tire size in the back and the tires have a ton of meat left. Of course I'd ditch the tires if it wasn't possible to fit w/o rubbing, but with the suspension set up I will have, is it possible? Also when you guys shave the rear quarter panel, how far do you shave? I know there are usually spot welds where the quarter panel and the inner quarter panel meet, right along that lip. If you shave past that, do the 2 panels separate? Thanks in advance.

I'm running 255/30/20 on a 10.5 rim. And it don't bother my newborn...
275/30 gonna rub even with cut fenders. But if you want more cushion run 245/35

I was thinking that it would be a pretty tough fit. Especially since the majority of the guys I seen in the wheel fitment guide thread are running 245/35's on their 10 and 10.5's. I also like the idea of a little more cushion too, so you think I might be able to get away with a 255/35? Also, how much did you shave from your rear quarter panel? Any pics of the fender work, and what's the specs of your wheel/tire set up?

One of my main concerns though is that the car is not going to be slammed like yours. When the car is tucking like that, you need a smaller tire for fitment reasons and for aesthetic purposes. Maybe this is just personal opinion and since I'm not a huge fan of stretched tires (don't get me wrong..........your car is friggin sick and I would love to swap rides any day of the week with you), but I've got a 265/30 on my 9.5's right now and it looks funny to me. Granted, the RCA's are not yet installed, but with a wheel gap and shorter tires, it looks a little awkward. Even with the RCA's installed, I'm pretty sure I won't be tucking anything, you think at that height and with still a little bit of gap, a 255/35 would still look too tall? I guess it also doesn't hurt that there would be a little more side wall for comfort reasons.

Anybody else tried a 255/35 on a 10" or 10.5" wheel?
