I just got a call from my friend with the BMW 528i and he tells me all his dashboard lights came on and BMW quoted him:
ABS ---- $1,000 ( Heard that I maybe able to re-program it but may come on again) Used one maybe for half the price might work?
Catalytic Converters 2 @ $475 each aftermarket. Heard the aftermarket ones makes noise and the engine light may come on. Total $1950 just for parts...
This is to crazy....

Id have to agree, I have had mine for about 5 years now and its never given me a problem. Just regular maintenance and a lower ball joint replacement that I wanted to do. Last week the AC Compressor started making noise, parked it and ordered one. First issue I have had with the car so far, getting ready to turn 87k.

Love My GS
I have to say that I have grown up with Honda's. Mind you they are great cars but I have never gotten the feel of luxury and performance like this. I have an 01 GS400. Before that i've had 2 GS300's. I absolutely love this car.
The GS was and still is ahead of its time. Well built luxury machines...
I LOVE MY GS!
I think people forget that regardless of what year the GS is, it is still recognized as a luxury performance car and you pay for what you get. Want to ride in a smooth, comfortable and reliable car then you have to maintain it and pay for it
